5 Dinosaur Birthday Coloring Activities for Kids
Plan a dinosaur birthday coloring table with five useful free pages: a welcome sign, place cards, party hat, placemat, and thank-you card.
A birthday coloring table works especially well when the finished art has a purpose. Children can decorate a welcome sign, make a place card, or color a thank-you card to use after the party. You do not need to print all five sheets for every guest.

Set up a low-prep party table
Put washable crayons in the middle, print a few sheets of the activities you want, and leave a little room for names and messages. Younger children can color only a dinosaur and one large shape; older children can add patterns and words.
- Choose two activities for the party itself.
- Keep the welcome sign for before guests arrive and the thank-you card for afterward.
- Cover any placemat with a separate food-safe layer before putting food on it.
1. Color a dinosaur welcome sign
Color the dinosaur and decorate the open banner with the birthday child’s name or a short welcome message. Display the finished page by the activity table or entryway.

2. Make four dinosaur place cards
This one sheet has four card panels, each with a dinosaur and a roomy name line. Color them flat first. An adult can cut them apart later if the cards will mark seats.
- Pick one dinosaur panel per guest.
- Color the dinosaur and write a first name on its line.
- Ask an adult before cutting the cards.

3. Design a party hat for a dinosaur
The large hat is a canvas for dots, stripes, stars, or a brand-new pattern. This is a picture of a dinosaur in a hat, not a template for making a wearable hat.
- Choose one pattern and repeat it on the hat.
- Color the pom-pom in a contrasting color.
- Give the dinosaur a party nickname.

4. Color a birthday placemat
This landscape page leaves an open center and gives children room to color around the edges. It is a paper activity, not a food-safe surface by itself.
