Robot Garden Maze: A Free Follow-and-Color Game

Guide a friendly robot through a solvable garden maze, color the route, and invent one helpful garden task. One free printable.

A maze can turn a coloring page into a small mission. Here, a friendly garden robot wants to carry a watering can to a thirsty sunflower. The child chooses a route, colors the path, and fills the rest of the garden with whatever colors they like. It is a short task with a clear start and finish.

The one original BoysColor printable shows the robot by the lower-left entrance and the sunflower by the upper-right exit. The colorful cover is illustrative; the real free black-and-white sheet and its download are below. This page is not part of the separate Creative Fabrica collection mentioned later.

Find the two landmarks first

Before using a pencil, point to the robot and the sunflower. Let the child trace a route with a finger. Reaching a dead end is part of the game: go back to the last turn and try the other way. A child can trace one section at a time or plan the route before drawing.

Print at Fit to page on Letter or A4. Use a crayon or pencil that stands out from the black maze walls. There is one connected route from entrance to exit in this verified puzzle.

  1. Find the robot and sunflower.
  2. Trace a path with a finger first.
  3. Go back and try another turn if you reach a dead end.

Once your route reaches the sunflower, color it in one shade so the robot’s journey is easy to see. Try green for the path, yellow for the flower, and any invented color for the robot. For a second mission, follow the same route backward with a finger to bring the robot home.

The garden is open to free coloring. The flowers can be bright or imaginary colors, and the robot can have a teal antenna or striped legs. The route is a reason to begin, not a rule for the finished picture.

  1. Trace the successful route.
  2. Color the route so it stands out.
  3. Color the robot and garden any way you like.

Ask your child: What else could this robot help with in the garden?

Give the robot another garden job

After solving the route, invite the child to invent one more useful job for the robot: planting a seed, checking a flower, or carrying leaves to a compost pile. They can draw one tiny tool in a blank corner or describe it aloud. No second printable is required.

If the maze is too easy, color the dead ends in a pale shade and explain where each one stopped. If it feels crowded, cover part of the maze with paper and reveal it section by section. A younger child may simply color the robot and sunflower without tracing the route. For a different robot activity, try the Robot Jobs guide, which focuses on make-believe roles rather than a maze.
